What is Coaching?

Coaching is centred on unlocking a person’s potential. It can empower you and help you to gain clarity, reach your goals or improve your performance.

In the corporate world, the term VUCA is often used which stands for Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity. People are under pressure to deal with more and more in our 24/7 world and often feel like they are operating in one or all of these areas of challenge, whether it is in their work or home environment. Coaching can help deal with such issues and challenges before they become major problems.

What to expect?

Coaching provides a safe confidential space to explore what is really going on for an individual and focuses on solutions which are aligned with their values. The fundamental belief in coaching is that the individual is the expert in their life and therefore it is the role of the coach to work with the individual in a collaborative way. This is achieved through conversations whereby the coach listens in a focused manner to what is being said and what is not being said regarding a situation. The coach asks questions which cause the individual to reflect and to find the right solutions for them. The coach offers feedback in terms of observations throughout the process. Support is provided as part of the process as well as the right level of challenge which ensures individual are moving forward towards achieving their goals.

Where does it take place?

 In the majority of cases, all coaching sessions are held via videoconference using zoom. The coach will send you a link to the zoom meeting prior to the session and you can join via PC, laptop or smart phone from the comfort of your own environment. In the event that a face to face meeting is requested, this can be discussed in your initial call with the coach.
